I’m Chris, I'm the Chief of Everything (Green Energy)!
I started Everything Green Energy after looking for a company to install solar at my home, but finding it incredibly difficult. After a series of unsatisfactory quotes I thought there had to be a better way. This is when I decided to start the business, and my first project was to install solar on my roof.

My aim is to make solar renewable tech simple and easy to buy and to make it as accessible to as many people as possible. Personally speaking, I love having it, it gives me a lot of satisfaction knowing that ‘free’ energy is being fed into our house. I check my app everyday.
In the process of putting solar on my roof I got first hand experience of how challenging and complex the regulatory requirements are and the lack of clarity about how to implement the rules. It explains why I was finding it difficult to get quotes (some of them told me I could only have 5 panels on my roof). As a civil engineer I knew that it was technically possible to put more panels on my roof. After a lot of research I found a a suitable manufacturer and a safe and secure way to fit all 10 panels on my roof, in compliance with the building regulations to maximise the solar potential of my roof.
As I write this, the business is now taking its first steps, with our awesome installation team led by Matt and Sam, we are fully certified by MCS and have signed up our first customers. I have also been working with some incredible people to help me get started - many thanks to them too. I have great hopes for the business, its fun setting it up and I’m really excited by it. Renewable energy that reduces our impact and the engineering behind really motivates me.

Meet our installation team
Matt
Matt takes the lead on all things technical. He is a qualified electrician with NICEIC and 2391 Inspection qualification. His role is help with the desgn of our systems. He has 20 years experience in the industry. Matt’s first solar project was in 2008 and he has since overseen thousands of installations. Matt is a keen golfer and is on the fairway as often as possible.
Sam
Sam is our lead electrical engineer and oversees site management. He's a qualified electrical and SSSTS qualified. He also has various addition qualifications including roofing qualification, working at height, site management and asbestos awareness to name a few. Sam has been in the industry 20 years and has been part of over 10MW of solar installations. Sam, like his brother, is a keen golfer.
Russ
Russ has been working with Matt and Sam for 5 years. He is a qualified electrician and has been installing solar for over 10 years. Russ with his Canadian roots is into ice hockey and competed to a high standard when he lived in Canada.
Chris
Chris started his career in construction with various roles including building playgrounds in London. He has an MSc in Civil Engineering from Southampton University and is a member of the IET (MIET). Chris will be found on roofs and in vans getting supplies, organising stuff and making tea. He is also a keen cyclist.
